Manx Asylum Chair

Made on the Isle of Man, from 'reclaimed' or 'found' timbers, this chair was used for restraining and is thought to be from an asylum or prison.

Constructed in the early 19th century, this is a truly rare and macabre item.

The chair comes with a written appraisal from Bernard D Cotton to the previous owner.
